100 Years of Richardsons: Every Bike Has A Story!
Calling our wonderful community of customers – past and present!
As some of you are aware, we are fast approaching a truly monumental milestone: 100 Years of Richardsons!
As we look back over the century, we’ve realised that our history isn’t just tucked away in our old ledgers; it’s written in YOUR memories and the miles you’ve travelled on two wheels!
Whether you remember our very first home that laid the foundations for the business, or you’ve been a regular at our shops in Hadleigh or Leigh-On-Sea for years, we would be absolutely delighted if you’d share your stories with us – no matter how short or long, far back in the past, or just yesterday, we’d love to hear, or rather, read them all.
We want to capture the magic of the last hundred years, and we simply can’t do that without you!
Do you have a ‘Richardsons Memory’ tucked away? We’d love to hear about:
– The Big Reveal
Can you still recall the pure excitement of picking up your very first bicycle from one of our three generations of family?
– Family Traditions
How many generations of your family bought their bikes from us? Are you now bringing your grandkids to the same spot your parents took you?
– Pocket Money Treasures
Did you used to save up your hard-earned money for a particular toy or a bit of kit from our shelves?
– The Way We Were
Do you remember what the shops – or the high street – looked like back in the day?
We also have a very special request: If you have any old snaps tucked away in a shoebox of the shop front, a vintage bike, or even a photo of you as a kid with your Richardsons wheels, or toys – please do share them and add to the amazing 100 year old picture I am creating.
Thank you for being the heart of our story for the last century. Here’s to many more miles together!
