Danielle.

Social Media, Marketing & Female Supporter Liaison

Hi, I’m Danielle, I’m the newbie at the shop and my role includes keeping on top of social media, marketing, window displays, some shop work but mostly stuff behind the scenes! So, for those of you who don’t know me, I’m Erik’s daughter and Sam’s wife. So I have been around bikes all my life and involved with the shop on and off for a number of years. Over the years I have tried my hand at different aspects within the shop such as sales, mechanics, shop display, social media and paperwork. Prior to working at the shop I got my psychology degree and worked in the NHS within the mental health field, and have also trained in massage including deep tissue, relaxation and hot stone.

Sam.

Mechanic and all-rounder

Hi, I’m Sam, I’ve ridden bikes all my life, but never really got properly into it until I started working at Richardsons. If you pay us a visit you’ll most likely find me in the workshop, but I do a bit of everything when needed. I’ve worked at the shop since 2014 and the time has flown by. Prior to working at Richardsons, I worked in a couple of supermarkets after leaving college, and then got an apprenticeship as a Goldsmith, making and repairing jewellery for a couple of years. I was then given the opportunity to work at Richardsons and I’ve never looked back. I’ve always loved sport and working with my hands, so this was a perfect career path for me. At the moment my favourite discipline has to be gravel! Super versatile bikes, and super popular at the moment. The freedom of a mountain bike with the simplicity of a road bike.

Martin.

Mechanic and all-rounder

Hi, I’m Martin, I cover the workshop, sales and all day to day aspects of running the shop. I’ve known and worked with Erik for over 20 years and began working at the shop on 2nd January 2001. Before working at Richardsons I worked at another bike shop in Corringham where I started my career back in 1995 straight from college, and where I met and also worked with Erik. My favourite discipline in cycling is road and gravel trails.
