Grace Goodall: Part 3

“Around 2017, I progressed and was successful in becoming a member of the British Triathlon East Region Academy. My first British Super Series event as a youth was at Llanelli where I realised everything had just got serious. The open water swim was like being in a washing machine. Leaving the lake and getting to transition I started putting my running shoes on only for my dad to shout… ‘get on the bike’!

Since then, I have participated in the Super Series annually, which has taken me across the UK to race against the best young people in the country. One personal achievement was when I was selected to represent Great Britain as an Elite Junior in Super League Jersey. The opportunity to race against some of the best people from around Europe was something I will never forget. I have just moved into the Under 23 category and so things have not got easier.

Now at Bath University studying Health & Exercise Science and a member of the Triathlon Performance Squad I am fortunate enough to have access some of the best training and support facilities. I continue to be a member with East Essex Triathlon Club, Basildon AC and Rochford & District Swimming Club with whom I train when at home. I do love cycling time trials as they bring their own unique challenges”.
